In the last 2 weeks, there are abt 25 hoax 911 calls been made from couple of high schools. There were 4 of them yesterday. Most of the hoax calls were regarding a person with a gun near the school, that turned out to be not true.
So the punks have taken advantage of it. Cops have arrested a high school student for making a prank call. This is getting like cry wolf scenario. Every time there is a call like this, cops have responded in force, wasting their time.

As a desi mother of 2 teenaged boys I had the usual gripe against the 'new' generation....lack of respect for elders, having the wrong role models, being unappreciative etc. etc.
Yesterday, while going grocery shopping I saw a group of teens looking very agitated. Another case of violence amongst teens, I thought. When I came closer to the group, I saw an elderly woman lying unconscious on the ground. While waiting with her for the ambulance to arrive, I had a chance to observe these youngsters closely. They were absolutely AMAZING...calling 911, helping the woman's husband and doing everything that they possibly could. Kudos to the teens from Rick Hansen S.S.
While they may wear their jeans below the waist...their hearts and minds are in the right place.
My perception of the 'new' generation has changed forever.
