From my side, everything else is fine. My work ethics, time management, etc has no problems, the only thing that I can't live up to is my sales target, because I am not a salesman. Even my immediate boss thinks highly of me, but the problem is the manager above my manager. He spells trouble for everyone.

As long as you meet minimum hours requirement ...changes are u will get EI, u just need to prove that they have been not fair to you, lot of mental stress, and pushing...... therefore u were losing concentration towards works, and that effects your performance...
i am assuming u were there on time and doing your duty regardless of performance review .... if they don’t have any other proof that u were going late everyday or spending lot of time talking to others or personal phone conversation then u don’t need to worry.
It’s ok if you mentioned this here on the CD's BUT never ever mentioned this to anyone else at your work of EI officers.
Just stick to your line,,, I am ready to work but I hv lot of presser from them I cannot concentrate on my work therefore I cannot reach goal.
Make is simple but strong statement and stick to it.

My wife was having similar kinds of problems at work & she quited because of the pressure. After quiting we weren't sure of getting EI & she started looking for job, but couldn't find one in 1-1/2 months. After that we tried to apply for EI online & wrote all the pressure situations on the work in the application. We wrote in the application that we were looking for new job during this time & also waiting for ROE to come. We posted the ROE to the EI department.
After 10 days one agent called us & told us that he is going to investigate the case for us. He also called the employer & talked with them. Due to this kind of EI application, my wife's boss was really pissed off & he called her back & they had a quarrel on the phone. As soon as the phone got completed we called the agent back & told him that we got such a phone call from the employer & he is harassing & giving mental pressure.
The agent called the boss & inquired about the phone call. I am not sure but according to the employment ethics considered by the labor department of this country, after a dispute employer is not recommended to contact the employee & have any kind of conversation.
Just after 15 minutes the agent called us back & informed that he is going to approve the EI benefits for us.
So you can try quiting & then apply for EI informing them all the situations & it would be good if you can write down some of the incidents also..... but I would also like to add that all the situations are different & you can never be sure of the outcome of the application in such kind of cases. In our case may be the phone which her boss made was the key point which totally turned the case towards our side.....
Best of luck........

i..........rock........!!!!!
Very well pointed by Irock...
Just go ahaed and apply for EI... u will get it -
Dont foreget to add "quited because of the pressure" as I rock ponted out.
good luck

Since I have never applied for EI in my 7 yrs of being in this country, not sure whether I will qualify or not, incase I ultimately lose my job because of non-performnance!
People with experience in this can comment, I hope.
However preference will be for native population, failing which it will go to immigrants/citizens of VM origin.
Being on EI will entitle you to take some courses at the college , institute or university for up to max. 28,000 $ (Tution , living allowance etc...)
Hope this helps.

Citizens of VM = Visible Minority
If your skin color is black/brown/yellow, you fall under this category in Canada.
If your skin color is green, you still fall under VM (Visible Martian) category

What is meant by citizens of VM origin ?

So why is there a problem if one falls into either of these two categories ? I thought things are global and all these inequalities in the Canadian job market had disappeared.
