I am of Indian origin, but born in England and have been living here all my life (29 Years). I have a business degree and have worked in both the public and private sector in the UK employment market. I work damn hard and earn a good living. I have recently been recovering from a broken leg so have had time to think about my options.

I have considered Canada since university and have now reached a mind set that this would be a good alternative. I have been reading through your chat rooms and see a lot of comments about how skilled migtration workers are taken for granted etc.

I do believe the grass is never greener on the other side (just looks it). The same is happening in this country. Imigrants are being taken as \"Cheap Labour\" however, the general consensus in the chat rooms can be overcome with a networking approach. I have a strong sales ability e.g. use it to sell ideas in my project management roles (or even products and services if need be). I am Indian but as I was born is use the \"British approach\" to achieve my goals, but it doesn't mean that that I have lost touch with my genetic roots.

Management has the right to manage, workers have the right to seek alternative employment if they feel they are being taken advantage off. The problem most people have is that they become to comfortable with their environment, even if they are not happy with their situation. Has anyone considered doing more training? or looking at alternative possibilities of work other than the ones they are used too?

If your an architect (as one example I saw) how about quantity surveying etc. I don't yet know the Canadian market fully so I use this as an example for alternative strands. one and architect = always and architect???

The reason I am looking at Canada is that the quality of life here has taken a dive, housing market is crazy etc. I'm lucky that I have property here, but when I have a family do I want them to use this education system, work 70 hours week etc. NO

I am conducting a long distance learning exercise at the moment, but I will be visiting Canada later this year (in september 2005). I do look at scenario's differently, but not as a true maverick, and believe that where ever you live and work there will always be problems and situations to overcome. But a Philosophy of \"When in rome do as the romans do\" - but I add, just do it better!

This has put me in good stead in my work life, social life and any other life I feel it can be applied to.

As I will be coming down soon, I would like users of this site (I trust its a good site, if not I don't class this message is a waste of time - if it can help anyone) to suggest areas to visit, where the best jobs are for project managers and sales people, where Resumes can be sent etc etc.

Final word. Its all about being able to ADAPT, evolution predicts \"survival of the fittest\". Those that adapt have the ability to flourish. For those that are having a hard time; Training, networking and above all keep on trying as those who percivier do get the lucky break. GSOH is always required.

I take an umprecidented step of leaving my e-mail address

for anyone who would like to pass comments directly, have any ideas or have any networking oportunities. No e-mails from ladies looking for a fine looking gentleman. That doesn't fit into my goal achievement targets yet.

Kind Regards from England, and may see you soon in Canada.

arey bhai, ab aap ne is debate mein evolution ko bhi ghusa diya.

chalo theek hai hum sab mil ke "survival of the fittest" to test karte hain.

by the way, survival of the luckiest bhi kafi important role play karta hain jaha tak evolution ka sawaal hai.

Where do you live in England?

What worries me is everybody is happy to chat, but there seems to be any real action as to what people do and ideas of how they can do it. debating is fine, but when has a debate got you a job? house? partner? etc etc.

ACTION ACTION ACTION. in UK they say talk is cheap, I agree. If this site is about the spreading idea's, lets bring on some idea's.

as I have siad before. I live in the UK (London), but from a long distance perspective I can offer great options on how things can be done, now lets here your ideas.

this message is not directed to anyone in particular, but to the world wide audience.

chao for the UK
