Dear friends:
I need your advice.
I have been scheduled for the interview.
I appeared for IELTS on 13 March 2004 and obtained the score: Listening 6.5, Reading 6.0, Writing 6, Speaking 7. But submitted my result after receiving the interview letter.
I have received HRDC approved job offer. Job offer was confirmed on 29 May 2003.
In my CAIPS notes, CHC recommended the interview waiver on 11 Feb 2003. But later on it is mentioned in CAIPS that on 17 Nov 2003 - ARRANGED EMPLOYMENT OPINION FROM HRDC HAS BEEN CANCELLED. and on 02 Jan 2004 - FILE PUT IN INTERVIEW QUEUE.
I contacted my employer in Canada who has offered me the job. He assured me that they have not withdrawal the job offer and never asked HRDC to do the same.
Employer is saying that HRDC approval is valid for only 180 days. May be the reason.
Is it true tha Arranged Employment is valid for only 180 days ?
Can you advice me that can I still claim points under Arranged Employment Factor ?
My case was filed in April 2000.
If I don't include the points for HRDC job offer, I don't qualify under current regulations and I score 71 points before interview under former regulations.
Do I need to worry in interview ?
Thanks in advance.......

You need not worry. Do let chc know about your concerns and what the employer told you [an affidavit from employer, if possible].
Good to be back, by the way!

Dear Masood Ji:
Thanks for your advice.
can u do a more favour.
I received my Arranged Employment Opinion from HRDC, Canada on 29 May 2003.
As per CAIPS notes, the HRDC arranged employment opinion has been cancelled on 17 Nov 2003.
Job Offer from employer in Canada is still valid/open for me.
It may be possible that HRDC arranged employment opinion has been expired.
I have been schedule for the interview on 5 May 2004.
I would request your kind honour if you could guide me if still I can claim the points under 'Arranged Employment Opinion' factor at the time of interview.
Is it right according to the law of Canada ?
As per 'Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations PART 6 ECONOMIC CLASSES DIVISION 1 SKILLED WORKERS Section 82', nowhere is mentioned that "Arranged Employment Opinion" should be valid at the time final decision as in case of 'Work Permit', it should be valid for 12 months.
Refer to link http://www.canlii.org/ca/regu/sor2-227/sec82.html
I will be very grateful to you in this regard.
Faithfully,
Mr India

to obtain the extra points, the arranged employment has to be valid. I'm not sure the Arranged Employment has expired. Express your concerns to the officer. Don't panic.
Is the Arranged Employment crucial to your passmark?

Dear Masood Ji:
I qualify under former regulations without hrdc approval, but not according to new regulations.
In CAIPS it is mentioned that HRDC opinion has been cancelled but job offer is still open for me from employer.
My employer says it may be expired.
Thanks for your advice.
