Looking from problems you have faced and like many of us have faced, there could be only consultant on this planet. Initially they will hook you by very nice talk and giving rosy picture and fast processing times and promises money back. I fell for the money back. Some fell for some extra points for Job offer. (Its another scam, providing fake Job offer. The immigration office is coming heavily on fake job offers) There is no such thing as money back. All they do is lie and act like postman (courier service). They also lied to me. I applied in Jan 2002. Already the new rules were in effect from Dec 2001. They said we would have some grace period, as the rule will come into force later in June. Later they asked me for extra $800 for the lawsuit and re filing (all bullshit). I came to know they have a bad reputation. I had to take the matter into my own hands. I refused the extra $800 and bypassed this consultant. Due this I got my papers on time directly from the consulates. When we apply they don’t even verify our application. They act like postman with delays. You have to bypass this consultant otherwise it will cause lot of delays. You won’t get your papers in time. I initially applied with their Canadian office, and then they transferred my entire file to Chandigarh without asking me. Don’t rely on this consultant.
Don’t sit there and wait. Write letter to your consultant to stop representing you immediately and send a copy to your Immigration office along with you letter stating that you have terminated the services of your consultant and ask them send communication directly to you.

Fall all of you if you who are not an “anguta chap” don’t rely on these consultants especially the one in Chandigrah with office in Canada, Mississauga. All information is available on the net and do some research and within two week you will know everything. Apply on you own and be confident if you know if have the pass points.

Sad to hear what happened to you...
I'm also in similar situation but without consultant.
After applying for immigration, I left India and worked in few countries without caring much for the Canadian Immigration at all.
Came back to India last year and started following up.
Finished Medicals in July/Aug 2004
After that submitted the passports for stamping..but since I travel often, every month I've to ask it back from CHC and submit after I return.
Anyway I'm not planning to land in Canada (if al goes well) before March/April 2005.

Alls well that Ends well.

All the best
Cheers

PS: BTW is your consultant called "CAN**"? Just curious, coz one of my friend is using their services and suffering.

This sad story has their name written all over it.
When hooking you in they talk nicely. They don't look at your resume of credentials (in fact they ask you to alter so their review department will be able to say you will have no problem - An unethical practice). Once you pay their fees, forget about refund even if they do not deliver service to your promised satisfaction. They simply fill the application if you seem to get enough points otherwise they ask you to take additional courses or learn some things (why don't they say you do not qualify at the start?).

Anyway, if you know how to complete application forms and provide genuine supporting documents, Don't use these consultants. I don't see how they can speed up the process ? They will simply give a lip service or ignore all inquiries till CIC makes their decision and try to get credit for it.

Beware of so called consultants! Avoid them if you can.
