I will be moving to Toronto shortly and was looking for apartments over the net. My office is situated on DON MILLS Rd. and I saw some apartments which are close to my office ie. in Dennis Drive. How is the area and how good are the apartments ?

I dont exactly live there but been there quite often. Cannot justify the whole area as BAD or GOOD. Some apartments I have seen are excellent with very professional maintainence while others I did not go beyond their lobby..they stink.

You should not have a problem finding a good one, look for proper references. Also it is a predominently muslim area with a masjid in one of the apartments , if that is of any issue to you. If your job is near by, it is one of the good places to rent initially.

PM if you need specific apartments info.

Good luck.

Hi there

Yes i used to live at St Dennis Dr till about a month ago.
Try to get into 10 Grenoble, 7 St Dennis dr or 701 Don Mills Road (all are pretty close to each other).
7 st dennis is close to Don mills/eglinton, while 701 Don mills is close to Don mills/ overlea blvd.
All of these are pretty well maintained buildings. Rest are all crap (both maintenance wise and occupants too).
If you have a higher budget then have a look at 89 Thorncliffe (i think it is 89- anyway its just opposite the church so you can make out once you go to the area, the East York town centre is a 5 minute walk from this place). Its a tastefully maintained building. Rent for 1 Br is about $ 1100, while for the others which i mentioned it would be around $ 900.
You wont have any probs commuting (by TTC) to office from 7 St dennis, 701 Don Mills and 89 Thorncliffe. If you have a car, then you are fine at any one of these places.
Hope it helps.

Regards
