Just read an article on pitiable and worsening condition of immigrants in Canada. Since 1982 average income of an immigrants have come down from 21K/year to 16K/year where as income of a Canadian born person is increased slightly.
I am sure some of us would disregard these statistics out of some sort of ignorance but that is not the solution of this problem and it would not change immigrants’ situation in this country either. Please read the following article, it is an eye opener :

Thanks and regards.

Hi Biomed,
It is a proverb that immigrants dont have any choice ,immigrants have to do whatever is available ,no matter what the job is and no matter what your education level is.Nothing offensive was meant.
Landing in a country with no job/no canadian qualifications and savings of 10-12 lakhs , Immigrants have to do whatever canada dishes out to them,if they dont get a suitable opening in their career .He has to take whatever canada dishes out because there is no other alternative other than going back to India.
No wonder many canadians work in US on Tn Visa rather than rot in canada.

Now you made it clear what you meant by 'beggars cannot be choosers'
Well it is just due to circumstances that most people have to take what they get in order to survive.
Sometimes or rather may i say most of the times you just cannot wait for the right job to come along. It could be a long and endless wait. People with average qualification and experience are the best suited to migrate to Canada. The qualified ones ( like doctors and engineers) just fall in the same group as the average ones when they land in Canada.
I remember a Canadian returned desi who was a doctor in India before migrating to Canada and then returning to India was saying that when he used to tell people he was a doctor in India they would say 'my a*se'.
It shows that no one there cares what you were before you migrated to Canada.
