I'm a gujju too and that means I've visited Tuxedo court on a few ocassions .

I don't dispute the fact that many immigrants are finding the environment in Canada very tough and to a certain extent, the system is at fault. The system needs to be amended to better educate immigrants on what they may face here so they don't land with unrealistic expectations. That is one of the purposes of a site like Canadiandesi too, to educate people and spread the word.

But at the same time, we have a responsiblity since many prospective immigrants are planning to come here. We can't be throwing around numbers that give them an impression that there's no hope for any immigrant in this country. I've been here long enough to know that its not true.

That is all I am protesting (the 95% number), I'm not trying to pull immigrant issues under the rug.

While the number maynot be 95%, It is very high.

I live in an appartment and pay $1150. My brother shares some of the rent.

I have lived in a Basement and thought it too be very bad so I thought I would move back to an ppartment and Just sruvive (cutting other costs).

So these days I do the following thing.

1) Live (in the pappartment)
2) Eat
3) Sleep
4) Work fo course to pay for the above 3.

NOTHING ELSE.
