I have a friend who is having properities in canada.He is unable to meet his PR obligations.will he get renewed since he is owning fixed assets in canada.pls give your opinions.

From what i am aware foregin citizens and residents are allowed to buy and own properties in canada and U.S.
renewal of PR card and green cards have clear guidelines as mentioned above and owning properties is not one of them as far as i am aware

Hi Cd s,

I understand it is 730 days out of five years.But his question is he will be able to compelete only 540 days and if his PR is not renewed nor his entry is resticted how he will manage his assets.what is the way out to secure his money in bank and properities.Also the repayment of his debts with banks as busniess laons and credit cards etc...

Is he in Canada right now or outside? If he's in Canada he can carry on as usual and wait to apply for citizenship straight, but this has one disadvantage without the card he won't be able to go out of Canada or if he goes won't be able to come back. Other CD's please correct me if this is wrong (I write this without checking the facts.)

Ask your friend to check with a immigration lawyer with his full case details.

Well sir ,

I am aware foregin residents and citizens are allowed to buy and own properties in North America, have bank accounts , invest in share markets and own business .

I have heard of Investor visa dont know too much about it .

At present he is outside and visiting canad ,his questions is since he hasnt completed the required days whether he will be allowed or not.If so either they will not ask anything or he will be given time for an appeal.In this situation his questions is the strong finacial ( with banks) and fixed assets investment will come for rescue to renew his PR card.he got his PR under higly skilled category.
