We are thinking about putting a deck in our backyard using pressure treated wood. Anyone built a deck recently in their backyard. If yes then can you share experiences (cost per sq ft/Contractor etc) and any other useful tips.
Anyone know or a contractor who can build the deck for me at a reasonable price?

Please know that many municipalities require a permit for putting up a deck in your backyard. Hope the contractor that you hire would be able to take care of that on your behalf.
You can call the building dept. at your municipality to find out if permit is needed.

I think if it is attached to house and above 30 cm in hieght - you may need a permit (city of mississauga).........no one takes it because it may increase your insurance due to fire hazard (as similar to basement construction).
I have contractors who have given me prices i want to know if someone has done it and have a contractor that is reasonably priced
