Still do not understand the connection with the indirect taxes..I am from Vancouver where GST and PST is quite a killer. I am sure VAT is not high as 13% in India..honestly do not know the rates..but know for a fact that most of the food items as well as consumer durables are cheaper or at par with Canada..In any case, wonder whether I will be spending so much of money that indirect taxes will become so much of a factor as direct taxes?.
