I use to live at Weston Rd & Finch Ave W they are couple of building.
where you can get rent 800 1BDR .
Lot of desi's , gujju and punjabi , they are highrise buildigs
go check it out

Hy 10/Queensway buidling the rents are 900$ for a 2BD [like about a yr ago when I left]
huge building.. the last I know is atleast 15-20 indian families..
50% of those I can say would be gujju's.

Do not go to the HWY 10/ QWY building.
2247 ?.
Very unsafe building. Every evening you'll find a cop car at the lobby.
There was a murder in the lobby over drug dealing a few years ago.
They had a major fire in the building and they ripped the tenants of any refund.
That building has every cheeze you want, including call/massage girls
(all the vietnamese, korean and other asian massage parlour girls live there), at one point there were a few who ran their massage joints in that building and advertised it over internet sites, drugs from marijuana to crack/cocaine, teenage youth gang members to name a few.
Stay away from that location.

There are a couple of Apartment Bldgs in that range . Check for 5 Capri , 275 & 295 Martingrove , 60 & 63 Callowhill .... You will find both desis and rentswith in your range ...

I thought that was the case at Bloor and Dundas ie the building right next to the subway ?
Anyone lived at Bloor and Jane on Armadale Avenue ?
Can CDs suggest good areas(residents mostly professionals) close to the TTC-subway? I think being close to subway would be helpful to visiting parents.
