Hi all, I am looking to get some more understanding and working knowledge for Microsoft dynamics (formerly known as GP). I do not have an accounting background but do have IT experience ( a little). I am needing assistance for the below mentioned two items
1. Where can i get training material for Microsoft Dynamics (cost effective solution)
2. Is it worth it for me to even think about getting to learn MS dynamics particularly if i do not have accounting background ? This tool is quite in demand but does require accounting background.
3. Should i need to develop a good understanding of accounting field, what kind of courses should i do to get basic and good understanding of the accounting principles ?
All help is much appreciated.
Thank You

You need the same basic principals of accounting whether you use dynamics GP or other accounting packages.»luckysaab«
Voluteering is one possible way. The other cheaper way would be to find a deal on Microsoft Technect subscription. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-ca/subscriptions/buy.aspx" target="_blank">http://technet.microsoft.com/en-ca/subscriptions/buy.aspx</a>
Once in a while Microsoft runs promotion up to 75% off for new subscribers. When you subscribe you get access to all range of Microsoft software including OS, Databases, and other enterprise software like Sharepoint, dynamics GP and others for one year. You can download and install in your home workstation and learn that way. Once you download and activate it will not expire even after your subscription expire. Also Dynamics GP comes with a sample company database with full blown chart of accounts that make it very easy to learn.
