Hi All CD's,

Finally we moved in our first house in Canada and right now we feel little bit confusion and nervousness b'cos everything is new and needs to organise everything from scratch again.....but feel happy too that finally we have a house.

Right now i am looking for only internet connection and asked both Rogers and Bell for Ultra light connection they told me with all taxes and extra are $35.01 (Rogers with one MONTH FREE) and $34.95(Bell).

yesterday one of my friend told me about Connexions (Bell autho dealer) at Albion Road and they offered me Ultra lite - 1 year contract - $26.95 + $3.95 (Modem) = $34.91 (with taxes and 3 MONTH FREE) or High speed internet - NO CONTRACT - $36.95 + $3.95 (Modem) = $46.21 (with taxes and FIRST 8 MONTH will get $17.00 OFF) so it will come with all taxes together $27.00 / month and NO needs to do contract and he explained me after 8 month if i don't want to continue with High speed i can de-grade my requirement and go back to Ultra light with $26.95 package.

I am seeking advice from fellow CD's if anyone have a idea about this product or is it any gimmick or some extra charges afterwards? shall i go ahead get the connection from them or not? in future if i needs service who will provide the Tech. support by Bell or i have to call this dealer for service?

your reply regarding this matter will help me a lot.....

Thanks in advance..

regards

If you go to Bell or ROGERS directly, they will charge higher prices. It is better to go thru dealers. One caution: Take is writing all offers details from details. Bell is famous of differing.

For internet, you can also try teksavvy. Good service and price. They use bell dsl line. I will be moving to them in next month.

I have tried Bell Internet through Conexions for one year ... No problems ....

However after one year , I have changed to Acanac as they charge only 25/ month and a better speed ....

Check with Acanac also --- they need a non VoIP home phone line like Bell , Primus etc ...... if its a VoIP phone line like Rogers etc , you have to pay 8/mo extra for a dry loop.

Thanks Desi # 1 and Fido for feedback and suggestion,

My planning is i am going for internet connection and afterwards i am going to use VOIP system for home phone as we both have Cell phone and most of 90 % we talked over the cell instead of landline so VOIP shoud be fine with us.

Fido,

if any service issue who resolve the issue i.e. conexions or Bell? any confusion or charges after one year as you moved to some where else? your reply will be much appriciated.

Thanks

Connexions is just a dealer for Bell ... Installation was done by Bell and you are a Bell regular subscriber ...... One month notice needed for discontinuance of service ... even when 1 year is about to end .... No problems faced .
