Hello all,
I am sponsoring my parents and had a question about the sponsorship application to be sent to Mississauga office.I just wanted to know if I need to attach any cover letter with the application? If yes, then what all should be written in it? Thanks in advance.

Hi I would like to ask anyone who can help. I received a letter from Mississauga office for the application that I submitted to sponsor my parents. The letter states I should submit the forms and documents on the checklist. However, the letter did not include a checklist. Without the checklist, I will literally be guessing what they want me to submit. I phoned Immigration a few times already and they told me the 90-days period is already ticking. Which really sucks! It was them who screwed up not me. They mailed me an incomplete response. But anyways, I've been ranting to the immigration agent about this and it seemed did not make any difference.
Can someone please please please help me and let me know what is that checklist or if someone can send me a copy of that checklist that will really really be great!!!

The application process
The instructions provided in this guide follow the basic steps you will need to know to complete your application.
Gather documents
Complete the application
Pay the fees
Mail the application
What does it mean to sponsor?
When you sponsor persons who are members of the family class, you must sign an undertaking with the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration (or with the Ministère de l’Immigration et des Communautés culturelles [MICC] if you live in Quebec).
The undertaking is a promise to provide financial support and basic requirements for the family members you are sponsoring.
Basic requirements are:
food
clothing
utilities
personal requirements
shelter
fuel
household supplies
This also includes other health care not provided by public health, such as eye and dental care.
The undertaking ensures that these persons and their family members do not have to apply for social assistance. Its length varies according to their age and their relationship to you.
Your obligations as a sponsor begin as soon as the person you are sponsoring and, if applicable, his or her family members arrive in Canada.
Important information. The undertaking is an unconditional promise of support. For example, the granting of Canadian citizenship, divorce, separation or relationship breakdown or moving to another province does not cancel the undertaking. The undertaking also remains in effect even if your financial situation deteriorates
---
Do I need more than one application?
You must complete separate applications for each person you want to sponsor. Each application may include that person’s family members.
For example:
If you want to sponsor… both your parents
you must complete two applications: one for Father and one for Mother
The application for each of your Parents would identify each individual as the person being sponsored (principal applicant).
