Is there anybody who applied during 2002 at New Delhi and got PR visa under independent skilled worker category?

What time did you apply in 2002? I applied in feb 2002 and received file number in march 2002. No updates after that except for received a letter similar to the first one send with file number.
Also let me know if you have given IELTS/Filled new forms after the change in rules.
Are you using e-Client to check application status? I check every time to find the screen frozen!!!!

I applied just after you and got the file no. No response till then. I did not fill up any new form nor did I appear in IELTS as I am not advised to do so.

To access the e-application status you need to have latest Internet Explorer....download from the net.

Let me know when u get any response from High Commission. By the way do u know anybody who applied during the same time in 2002 & got visa?

I guess we are in the same boat...I don't know of anybody whoz applied in 2002.
However, I have been advised by people in this forum to take up IELTS and fill up new forms. Taking IELTS is pain in neck espcially I am in US. What I have heard is they might ask us to take IELTS and fill up new forms. I am awaiting to hear from them....
Also, plz contact me on if you have any information to share...in case i miss to check the forum..

I too have applied in April 2002 from CHC New Delhi. Recd. AOR in May 2002. I should be scoring 92 points in the new selection grid. I have also got the HRDC approved arranged employment . I submitted new forms and IELTS results (7.5 bands and above in all four sections) based on the advice given on the CHC New Delhi website. I am yet to hear from the immigrtion authorities in New Delhi. There are other knowledgable guys like Ashokjee et al active in other discussion forums who have applied in the time frame of Jan 1, 2002 to June 28, 2002. These days we are hearing more of the residual applicants of 1999,2000 and 2001 being processed by CHC New Delhi. I even personally know a couple of cases who had applied in Sept. 2001 and Dec. 2001 whose files have been processed long back and they are already in Canada a year ago- well settled! So your guess on our status is as good as mine- while we all sail in the same boat....Good luck!

I have not seen anywhere in the official website www. cic.gc.ca where CHC is asking for IELTS results for applicants who applied after 1 Jan 2002. It is specifically asked for applicants who applied before 1 Jan 2002 (see CHC, New Delhi website). Can you please tell me where you found that.

One of my friend applied in May/June 2001 landed in 2003 and now well settled.

If you hear anything from CHC please keep us posted.

It comes in the processing times webpage.It is written at the bottom of the said page. Hope it settles your doubts. Anyway keeping things ready may be useful in saving some time - presumably and hopefully??
