As of now things look ugly and many have lost hopes. Information travels fast and media is expert in showing half truth. Filthy tiles, soiled beds, toilets, un-hygenic conditions, security lapse are balloooned way out of proportion (ok there is some juice to it). They are showing the pictures of very few toilets which undermines the luxurious conditions of rest of accommodations. during construction false ceiling may fail...
My take is that India will be coming out with the flying colors and may set an excellent example on Project management with various articles showing how the ugly turned into a spectacular event.
It is easy to point the fingers but when national pride is at stake, lets cheer up and of course pray for India that it will be a spectacular and most memorable event. This even also going to teach some lessons that money and arrogance could lead you into trouble. Throw Kalmadi and responsible team to jail that only on 'Kaccha\

I think it will go on although some of the Indians (in India) want it to fail as a means to put pressure on the government.
However, the manner in which the pathetic situation has come to light in the Indian and international media will have some impact in the future. What that is remains to be seen.
Remember mumbai attacks? I was in the bandwagon that believed this attack would unify the country and produce a sort of revolution for the better. Apparently, memory is short term. I'd still like to believe the new fiasco called the CWG would be a turning point. Time will tell.

Yes we believe, we expect, we hope, we wish that CWG be the turning point.
26/11 was not the first attack. I have always believed right from beginning that 26/11 got the attention because the elite was targeted. Otherwise there were many such incidents in past. Kargil infiltration seems to be fading away from memory.
CWG will go ahead successfully. But I am not sure Billions of $$$ were spent to just be successful in hosting. I believe, I expect, I hope, I wish that motive was to show case India.

The International media has gone to town on all the failures at the CWG site even before a single game has happened.
Did you guys watch the Australian news man who bought explosives from outskirts of Delhi and carried a huge bomb suitcase around the grounds with POLICE looking on.
If he can carry a big bomb how many minutes it will take for a guy to carry a nuclear device into India?.
Recently an Pakistani spy was caught with major Indian info in New Delhi.
I will not trust India any more on conducting any major events just for the future safety of millions of Indians is not sure.
Gone with floods of Yamuna are the dreams of conducting the future OLYMPICS in India.
When Mr.Mani Shankar Iyer - Minister said the same a few months ago he was ridiculed by his own colleagues while when Sania-Badminton champion compared Australia/China to India she was made to Apologize.
The real culprit for this mess is Suresh Kalmadi and Sheila Dixit.
The buck for this fiasco should stop with the Gandhi family.
