Yes ,

The dealer was a Volvo one .... and he had given me a price which incl admin fees ..... but I gave him an offer which was apt and incl $100/- towards admin fee and he agreed ..... But I have got time till tomorrow to get back to him .

The Corolla is a private owned and though I m not getting it cheaper per the market value , the car looks very well maintained ...

Thanks all for your views once again ......

Looks like you have already decided.
Anyhow, I've rented and driven an Accent before and not been too impressed with it.
It is a very small car, thus safety would be a concern.
Also, the overall look-and-feel of it is cheap.
It seems to be made out of cheap body and materials.
I found that once you go near 100 kph, the steering wheel started vibrating (and this was a brand new car).
If you really want a small, fuel efficient car, consider the Nissan Versa instead of the Accent.
The Corolla is a better choice for sure.
The only Hyundai car I like is the Sonata.
However, I don't know what the latest one is like. They have redesigned it quite a lot.

hyundai gives 100000 Km or 5 years bumper to bumper warranty hence if you go for accent then for another year you are in a comfort zone.

I liked driving the Accent - though small it was peppy and smooth .... some wind noise on the highway - yes but other wise no problem ...

I thank a lot to all the folks who responded to this as well as the other thread and helped me in making the correct choice ...

A last day change got me the following .

2003 Toyota Corolla LE
73000 kms ( senior owned)
ABS , Cruise Control , Leather seats , sun roof .. etc ..

CAD 8K all inclusive ... !!!

The car drives like the wind .. Thanks !

The price is too much for a 7 year old car (though senior ridden). The normal buying price (excluding taxes) would be around $ 5500 to 6000 at the max.

These days, it is better to buy from the dealer as we need now to pay HST irrespective if it is a private sale or from the dealer.
So at $ 6,000 base price, The final price should be less than $ 7000 (all incl.).
Anyways, all the best and congrats! on buying the second car.

Peace
