CAD is on parity with USD.
USD is used to trade oil.
CAD is up but Gas price in the pump is also up.
What is the missing link?.
Is the USD devaluing and bottoming down?.
Who knows Obama will ensure the demise the US empire before 2012.

#1: Taxes
#2: Lower demand
#3: Corruption in govt. at both federal and provincial levels
#4: Willingness of people to put up with this rip off

The irony is that the Gas which is produced in Alberta for which Canadian has to pay more while Americans pay less.
We are paying high prices to pay for the comfort of refugees, seniors and politicians.
