Hi,
Do I need travel insurance for a week long trip to US or the OHIP coverage is sufficient ? I saw on expedia/redtag that they are offering travel insurance, but wondering if we really need it ?

Medical costs in US are prohibitive for visitors and God forbid if some body has to use it, the costs may not be fully covered by OHIP, hence it is always advisable to take medical travel insurance before start of journey. It is quite inexpensive and if you travel to US frequently, you can look in to taking an annaul policy which is very cost effective.
The cheapest travel insurance I have found so far can be bought here

Hopefully Good. I never had to make any claim though.
I got information about this company from this forum last year and have used their services since then without any claims so far and I hope I never have to make any in future.
Another company I have used is Travel Insurance Corporation and have heard good reviews about that but never made any claims there as well.
May be some body else here who had to make a claim can post his/her experience.
