90 DAYS HEALTH INSURANCE /TRAVEL INSURANCE FROM ICICILOMBARD TAKEN FROM INDIA,IS IT SUFFICIENT?
DEAR Colleagues,
Is the ICICILOMBARD travel insurance policy which includes health insurance including hospitalization and dental benefits in Canada valid for 90 days, taken froom India,ACCEPTABLE and a REASONABLE policy?
Pertaining to landing in Toronto/Ontario province, is this policy, priced at Rs.3587(GOLDPLAN)sufficient to cover travel/health insurance for 90 days?
I.E, Is there a need to go for Canadian health insurance policy providers like bluecross, etc in Canadian dollars?(icicilombard, is itself a subsidary of a Canadian firm)
Will it suffice till the period i get my Health insurance from Ontario, like others, waiting in the queue?
How much time it takes for the OHIP card ?
Please oblige and inform the details and any suggestion,or still better reasonabely priced (less than Rs.3587/person)policies,etc?
caprico

I did not get what you want to ask but for sure ICICI Lombard does not honour your bills. My dad availed medical treatment at US hospital last year and still they have not paid his bills. Every time they ask for some or the other medical report from US hospital. Similar experience for Canada. Despite of previous experience my parents again took out insurance policy from them and when I took my mother for treatment at a walk in clinic in Toronto they refused to accept any policy outside from Canada.
They are useless for America / Canada. Decision will be your's.
