Need to find out about travel insurance for travel to Canada.
Has anyone taken insurance for visitors travelling to Canada. Please let me know?
Still researching a few companies, but would appreciate if you could identify the procedure for this?
Pre-Existing conditions is a HUGE loophole used by Insurance companies to deny payment.
Whatever you do , DON'T lie on the application ..answer it honestly & truthfully & even get a doctor to fill it for you , if you want. Mention each & every illness or medical condition or tests etc if asked on the form , however minor you might think it is.
You might end up paying a bit more on the premium, but atleast you won't be debied if anything goes wrong.
Risay:
Age of the visitors will pay a major role.
Once my mom (aged 65 then), came to USA on a visit. She has to be admitted for pacemaker as her heart rated dipped. My brother had to pay US$ 50 K from his own pocket.
When Ashdefc was here, he suggested that SUnlife insurance was one of the best. Also Manulife.
So you can try that or dig up the postings to see his point. He had compared between various providers can had come to that conclusion.
However if it is to just take insurance as a procedure so that they will get Visa sanction, then try Tata from India or TTK. They will be very cheap. But this is just for procedure.
