Not sure. It wouldn't have made a difference as I was too new to the continent to understand the sophisticated nuances of the various fingers :D

I have applied today for notice of intention to appear. In the application i tick marked provincial officer's presence to attend the trial.

They said within 6 months ( ! ! ) they will send official communication to my address. Why so long ? Normally how long it takes for such offence ?

Go to Justice of Peace in your Area. They generally sit in the court Area.
You don't need any lawyer or any help. Just show him the missing papers and reason why you were not able to present the papers to Police officer. In my case i told him that my kid remove the paper from glove compartment and put it under seat and for get letting me know.
For car indicator plea guilty and ask to reduce fine and hope all will done good.

Not 100% sure that you get date within 6 months, some people have to wait 9-10 months. This is also a part of punishment and mental tourcher.

Later the better, I've heard that if court doesn't give you date to justify within 12 months; court will make you win the case automaticly. **Only if court is unable to give you date for trial within 12 months. It happens and many people get benifit of busy courts.

Javed323,
I have had different experience. I tried to plea guilty with explaination and I was told by counsellor that Do not plea guilty for traffic violation which I got a ticket for. Just tell JP that in order to save your own time and court's valuable time, you are here to make settlement by paying minimal fine and clear this ticket from the record.
JP will more than happy to reduce fine and clear ticket.
*If you plea, it will still go in your record, may not raise insurance but record will show as having a ticket.
**My suggestions Pay and clear or Fight and clear.
***If you see JP and thing doesn't work out you can still ask for court trial for not guilty.

my experience / opinion do not go to JP , wait for your court date , go to court , face the judge now if on that day , police officer wont show up in the court then your all the charges will be dropped , no record / no fine.

now if that police officer shows up then u can bargain with judge and all the time they do reduce the fine.
