Whaterver above said by HAMRAHI, Dimple2001 and other CD's are right.

I had a similir experience in 2007, when police pulled over me for over speed problem, samething i did came out from car and reach at Police car with my hands was inside the jacket b'cos of cold outside and honestly believe me that police officer even didn't open window and lock the car door from inside and after he opened 2 inch window down and told me to sit in car.

I was surprised than after 10 minutes he came to my car meanwhile he checked my history in computer than he realised that i am a new driver as my G2 lic was showing issued 3 months ago.

He given me the speeding ticket of $128 and 3 de-merits point but when i requested him and told that i was in real emergency at home and made a story.

luckily he accepted my story and told that b'cos this is my first ticket he reduced charges from$128 to $58 and no more de-merits point and he adviced me in future pls be seated in car and don't come out until tells by officer as sometime it might dangers for driver.

2 cents from myside...........

My first ticket in 1993 was an interesting experience on interstate 70 in Pennsylvania. I simply did not pull over :)

The car was unmarked and there was this red flashing dome light on the car's dash. I was wondering who was following me with a flashing light. Finally, the cop passed me, honked and waved his finger asking me to pull over and that's when I realized I was being pulled over for speeding :)

Want to hear an even funnier one? Hubby (then my fiance) and I were pulled over by a marked police car because we were driving on a highway not realizing that we were well above speed and we drove right by the cruiser without noticing him. Why? we were too busy debating! ... :)

Hello guys,

The three options i noticed in traffic ticket :

1) Pay the fine and plea for guilty.

2)Plead guilty with an explanation

3) Requesting a trial.

For the offence i said in my first post, i guess the third option should be chosen and not the second or first one.

The strategy is to explain in this way :

i ) I normally give right/left indicator signal whenever i take a turn, but when police noticed, the signal might have got cancelled, i am not sure.
But i normally give indicator signal and i am an experience driver driving for many years.

ii) I do not prefer to keep the originals of doc inside the car due to fear of theft from the car.. I had copies of the papers in the car which were not asked by police. I now produce originals to you.

This is the first time exp to me, so i expect advice from you guys.

I have noticed in a website, what is first attendance meeting? My offences fall in that category.

You may try any strategy you wish to. Having said that, according to your first post, the police officer asked to see your licence, registration and insurance. You showed them your G1 and G2 and according to your post, nothing else. Why didn't you produce the copies which you had in your car?

If I were getting a ticket for not carrying registration/insurance, I would have tried to avoid it right there by at least showing the copies and explaining your rationale for carrying the copies and not the original. You may have gotten off with a warning for that offense right there instead of a ticket.

Just a piece of my 2 cents. The judges of these courts have heard all sorts of stories and I have been to courts here and there (unfortunately on some one else's behalf) and have witnessed the cut and dry method of the judges. Keep your stories simple and mostly straight and you'll probably get out fine with zero or minimum penalty.
