My son lives in Calgary and wants to buy car .
His friends suggested him to buy it from U.S .My question is what he has to look before taking any decision to buy it from here or U.S .
Pl. share your opinion.

In short, yes a number of people have bought cars from the US, since they are cheaper down in the States, and with strong CN$ it's even cheaper.
You should check if the manufacturer will honour the warranty in Canada. Toyota does, but Honda does not. The dealer should sell it to your Candian address, and get you a temporary permit, that way you don't pay tax in the state from where you purchase, but only pay GST/PST/HST once you come across the border. The temporary permit allows you to drive to your home in Canada. Now some states do not honour the permit of another state, that's again something to keep in mind, Which states will you be passing thru.
A few years ago when the CN$ was at par, more and more people started going south of the border. At that time Toyota gave strict instructions to it's dealer not to sell to Canadians. People started going further south (as far as Florida) and to smaller towns/dealer, who were willing to take the risk and sell to Canadians. All the dealer wanted to do is make some sale especially due to recession in the US.
If you google, you'll find small dealer / brokers who will do all the paper work and actually get the car to your door step for a fee (offcourse !!). Atleast in I've seen ad's of such brokers.

Did you mean 2500 or 25K??? For 25 K-30K, you will get a new car itself. A lexus or even a BMW
