We were looted by the VFS Toronto. I applied for Tourist visa and because i wrote attending Friend's wedding and site seeing i was forced to pay $123+ to get a Visitor visa instead of Tourist visa. I hope my post is helpful to those who is applying for Tourist visa. Just put one or two places to visit.
I will be careful next time.
Thank you CD for the link. I will try to complain and get a clarification on why was i given visitor visa instead of tourist when the website mentions it to be tourist visa..

Tourist Visa/ Visitor Visa is very confusing:
On VFS website in FAQs it says (http://in.vfsglobal.ca/faq.aspx 3rd question) :
• I want to visit India for tourism/to attend a friend's marriage/ to meet my friends. Which visa should I apply for?
You should apply for a tourist visa which is normally valid for multiple entries and a maximum stay of six months in India. Note that the tourist visa is non-extendable and cannot be converted into any other type of visa.
On the same website at other place it says something different:
http://in.vfsglobal.ca/visa.aspx#entry

Hello CDs,
I'll ask this question in the same thread as this is related to process for obtaining VISA for India. Are they too strict about photo requirement? Is there any particular recommended place or I can go to any local Photo-shop (zellers, walmart, shopers etc)?
Thanks
