The webcast of this episode will be up and this site in the next 2 days.

Please watch this episode.

Every immigrant should watch this episode so that they can see how the perception on the impact of immigration on Canada varies from person to person.

With the news that the Conservatives are up 14 points and are moving towards majority this discussion will be an eye opener.

There was a white immigration lawyer, a chinese immigration lawyer, a pakistani chemist/writer and a white immigration policy maker.

The sound bites I did get out of this discussion are:

1.The pakistani gentleman accepted that the first generation of immigrant should suffer eventhough they are highly qualified so that their children future is better off.

2.The white policy maker said that in the ranking of international universities Canada has 4 univerisities in the first 100 while India and China have their universities ranked in the 300 to 500.Hence your degrees from India or China are NOT equivalent or as valid as Canadian degrees. Hence you should aspire for lower jobs or struggle through the system and not aim at getting par with a Canadian graduate.

3.The white policy maker also mentioned that the fertility rates of Canadian ladies is affected by immigration. As more and more new immigrants are landing up on Canadian shore the real estate prices are sky rocketing. Hence Canadian born ladies are delaying marriage and hence child birth so that they can afford a home while they start a family. As they delay child birth their fertility goes down when they are up of age 30 years. Hence if immigration is put under a tap system of turn on or turn off as per needs they can control real estate prices and encourage local woman to have more children.

4.This lady went to add that as her fore fathers came from Ukraine and the first generation worked on building this country, while the second generation built factories and her generation were the first ones to get education and get office jobs. Hence as the builders of the nation they need the new immigrants to go through the same process eventhough they might be highly qualified after helping the nation building by performing labor jobs.

WITH THE CONSERVATIVES UNDER HARPER AT 14 POINT LEAD AND SURE TO WIN THE NEXT ELECTIONS WITH A MAJORITY expect major policy changes in immigration and other related policies like pension, old age pension, cpp and other related benefits.

Many more valuable perception came out and it is requested that you watch this program as these are the people who will decide your future in Canada.

This makes sense to an extent, and agree with this fact.

What I have found alarming is the conservatives have jumped up 14 points. I would really like them to be voted out from the office this time because of almost scrapping family reunification program.
