DMK releases its election manifesto for state elections April 2011.

French, German and Arabic will be taught to University students
to name a few.
Already they have given out TV, gas stove, utensils and many other freebies last election.
Only thing left is a home and car.
May be in the next election that also be given free.

On a personal note I do not want to discuss anything on Canadian politics as I do KNOW that both:
CSIS & RCMP regularly monitor many south asian website including this website for anti-Canadian rant.
This is for the kind information for those concerned so that they can protect themselves in future.
Many people have lost their jobs, promotions including professorship in Canadian Universities after making statements against the current leadership.
This is NOT a joke and it is serious matter.

Freedom and rights prevails in India, people in india and elsewhere can make comments about system or politicians.
To that extent rights are there. So no doubt india is great in that case.

I don't think being anti-Harper or anti-Ignatieff or anti-McGuinty necessarily makes you anti-Canadian. Not like India where speaking up against establishment may cost you your life (e.g. Sonwane/Batcha/IITK civil engineer/RTI activist in Poona to name a few)

I am not trying to stop what is being talked, but what i meant was, somewhere in the corner of our mind, we feel we are indians that s why still we feel to enjoy the freedom os speach.
On the other hand we see on a daily basis many negatives and positives here. If there is no freedom to speak about negatives..... then it is question of comparison.
Anyway just cool down megal. I do not know you but this is how i orgue to bring out the best.
