Today, I received a call from a unknown phone#. Generally I do not pick these calls but I picked this one. Thought of sharing with you.
Caller - Sir, I am from Conservative Party of Canada. Would you consider voting for Stephen Harper?
I said - who is Stephen Harper?
Caller - Sir, the prime minister.
I said - you should have said "THE GOOF", and said big "NO" to him.
Caller - Ok sir, good enough and he hung up.
I remembered my neigbour mentioning a similar call last week. His answer was may be. The caller said, would you consider donating $200 to Conservative party of Canada. My neighbour said to him...you want my vote and then my money...what type of party are you? We could not laughing for a long time.
So folks, be ready for next election....
this kind of political fund raising intensifies during times of elections or impending elections.
there is nothing new in this.
on the other hand, you were extremely disrespectful in calling the Prime Minister a "goof".
when you posted this, what did you expect others to do?
laugh at how smart you are?
agree with you that the Prime Minister is a goof?
be amused that you ridiculed the prime minister of our country?
it doesn't matter whether you voted for the conservative party last time or not.
it doesn't matter whether you like Mr. Harper or not.
fact is that he is the prime minister.
if you want to change that, you can of course vote for the other "goof", can't you?

I think US does not have a PM. They have President. You are in US.
I have freedom to form an opinion about a person whether I lived in India or Canada. I can call a person whatever I like or write against him. I am not asking you follow it...goof.

speaking of America I don't hear anyone here calling Obama by such names while he's in office.

A person is respected not the position. If the position would have been respected, George Bush would have been most respectful person during his tenure as "President".
A position only commands protocol.
