Did not notice as such. The rooms have large windows and facing South so I get lot of Sun.
I was hunting for house last year and one that appealed to my family most was having 11ft ceiling on main floor and 10 ft on upper floor - oh it was absolutely gorgeous!
If I were you, I would definitely go for that upgrade, since not only does it mean your house feels bigger and roomier, but also because you cannot get that done at a later stage.
