Hi,

Can someone recommend an honest and good contractor for basement finishing? We are planning to finish our basement before the start of the fall season.
What are the things that we should keep in mind when finalizing or negotiating with the contractor, just so that we can avoid scenarios where contractors have not finished the job properly, or have taken off with the money without even doing anything.

Honest contractor? you got to be kidding, I had a friend who hired Home Depot to do some upgrades in his home, they sub contracted the job to a guy who was on the police wanted list.
Be careful and look for references and don't hand over your money till you see real progress, put thing in writing.
