Ontario is now offering government issued photo-ID cards to residents over the age of 16 who do not have a driver's lisence. This can be used for proof of address among other things. I was excited to get one since it will mean I will not have to carry my passport around, and the passport is not accepted as proof of address since the address is handwritten inside.

A warning, if you get one be careful to check that the person working at the Service Ontario Centre spells your name correctly. I just recieved my card in the mail and both my middle and last names are spelled incorrectly. The (seeming) teenager who worked at the service centre was nice but apparently very inept at her job. I have no communication barrier, simple English and Irish names and neat printing, not to mention I showed her my passport and birth certificate which have the correct spelling. So in the end this card is not yet very useful for me...

My prayer to you
Is that you do all the things you set out to do
And live your life the way you love

there must be a way to get it corrected since its not ur mistake ?
