We do not know what is wrong in Modi aspiring for or becoming the next PM of our country. After all he will be doing this only on the strength of his achievements in making Gujarat the No1 state in the country. The english news media, particularly NDTV headed by secularist Pranab Roy and propelled by king maker Burqa Dutt are running a virtual campaign against him. Last Saturday, ND TV/Vikram Chander ran a debate with a loaded question like "Will Modi get off the hook for 2002 Godhra riots?" as the heading. The BJP fell for the trap in sending Ms. Nirmala Seetharaman to represent their views. It is high time BJP and their spokespersons like Nirmala Seetharaman totally ignore this smear campaign. Every time they repudiate, Congress proxies like ND TV succeed in keeping the non-issue in the limelight. On the contrary if the BJP totally ignores this false propaganda, they will be only getting more sympathy and votes.

History has shown us repeatedly that Muslims unlike Hindus have a better sense of History and may boobytrap Modi into something that he would'nt want himself in. Their development is important for Gujarat and India, but he should avoid appeasement at any cost and maintain a safe distance for his own safety, security and future.
