Recently went to the gurudwara in Malton on Airport road and had soft jalebis in the lunger , the jalebis were similar to what i used to find in mumbai..
Almost all the stores in GTA seem to sell crispy jalebis which i dont like..
I have a feeling someone must have donated them from a local sweet shop. Anyone knows where the soft jalebis can be found from..
I know one Sri Lankan store in Markham... but it is kind of too far for me..
Warmup crispy jalebis in microwave, they will become soft. Soft jalebis is likley made fresh and served.
I always got the feeling the softer ones are dipped in Sugar syrup longer because they are juicier..
Well i will try the Microwave trick..
Reason for softer is less fried and thicker jalebi mixture.
There is one store sells only fresh hot jalebi and chana puri in the plaza at 1098 Peter Robertson Blvd, Brampton, ON, L6R 3A5
You can try at Islington/Albion Bangali sweets or Rajdhani restaurant also have available.
Punjabi style jalebi is very softer and juicy but need to finish faster.
Crispy jalebi has longer life.
