hi all!!
okay so my situation
i am a canadian resident and i have been married fr almost 6 years and my husband is a danish resident i.e. in denmark and he ha been there fr the last 3.5 years and we have a 3 year old son who is a canadian citizen by birth…
i have sponsored my husband while iwas here in denmark with him and i showed that i am out of the country my immigration consultant also attached a note mentioning everything clearly ,,i knew that a citizen is allowed to do that and at the back of my head i had a feeling that the cic mississauga might reject my application that I'm not eligible and that i have to be in canada when i apply for it as I'm a canadian resident i already stayed in canada fr almost 2.5 years since my pregnancy i.e. in 2008 till 2010 fen i.e. wen i came t denmark without my husband and my husband came t visit me twice in between so i thought lets apply worse comes worse they will ask em t come t canada and reapply to my surprise the decision letter came and it clearly stated that i am eligible as sponsor and they have moved my husbands file to london ukase that's where the processing for denmark files take place.. they received our application on july 28th and started processing on aug 10th ….they never asked for any documentation or anything ad in the meantime I'm here with my husband cud after staying away for so long without him i wanted to complete at least 2 years with him and it was unfair towards my son for being kept away so long from his dad….anyways my husband received an email from the canadian high commission in uk last week saying ..
Dear Sir
Pursuant to your application for permanent residence in Canada, it has been determined by a visa officer that a personal interview is required. The purpose of this interview is to determine whether you meet the criteria for admission to Canada in the category in which you have applied. You and your sponsor must both attend the interview. its in january mid and they have asked him to bring 2 photo ids and 2 forms i.e. schedule 1 background declaration for himself only and additional family information forms for himself (i don't understand in his application both the forms were submitted)
evidence of contact and communication with ur sponsor…
now is this possible that cic found me eligible for waterer reason to be in denmark while sponsoring my husband an dour kid who is a a canadian by birth is with us as well and also they called us both in for an interview… its scaring me a lot and a little help and guidance from my fellows here would be highly highly appreciated
thanks
They will try to determine the genuineness of your relationship with husband and whether it was a marriage of convenience. Highly unlikely, as you have a kid with him. They will also dtermine whether you have an intention of returning to Canada and living over there once the sponsorship comes through. Since, you have an immigration consultant, he should be guiding you and preparing you for the interview.
