I applied for my parents immigration case in mid july this year 2011 & have not received any acknowledgement till date. can you please advise me what is the maximum time to get the acknowledgement that they have received the file..

You need wait 9 months .......................

to receive acknowledgment.

And .... wait around 4 years plus to complete the first stage.
