I guess if you can spend more time on CIC website, you should get good understanding how to go about it.

Basically, there are 29 occupations listed and if you or your husband has qualification and experience in any one of those 29 occupations, you are eligible to apply for PR. If you do not fit into any of those occupations, you need an employer in Canada to sponsor you ( Arranged Employment) for your PR.

Also some Provincial Nominee programs may be suitable for you.

Do your research on website. If you still has a problem, send a message to me ...

Ayesha,
What ever people are telling you, please donot be discouraged. Just blindly apply for Canadian immigration and come to Canada.
It is a land full of freebies, lots of jobs, lots of oppertunities. Esp. in Saskatoon, they are finding it very hard to find people for work. The cold is too much but the oppertunities are also too much.
Just visit www.cic.gc.ca (CIC website) and you can fill in the forms by yourself. The Candian govt. wants people like you and so they have made the forms so easy to full in that even a 6th grader can fill it in by himself (if he knows English). Soon CIC is planning to have the forms printed out in all the languages available in the world.
Best of luck.
Peace

Ayesha,

It is not clear from your post which stage you are stuck - eligibility check or Application filling or collecting docs or submitting application ?
Did you check whether you or your husband qualify for any of the immigration category ? Whaich one is that ?

Do not go to Lawyers , They cannot do an inch extra what you can do yourself. Only amount you should spend is on fee and getting other docs like FBI clearance etc.

TK is right, Canada is land of opportunities and good life for people with right kind of attitude and understanding of environment around.

Hi Peace,

I am sure you are the right person to answer my querry.

My wife who is in Toronto now (on 1 yr work permit after 1 year post grad study) would be going to Saskatoon on 1st March and start working there to complete 960 hours ie 6 months of employment and then apply for SINP which I assume would come in 3 months time. Can she call me to Saskatoon after she gets the SINP and has applied for PR ? I'm in India.

Also how severe is the cold there ? Do we need a car right when we land there to save us from the cold ? Would she get a job in 15 days ? she has 5 years exp in Dell tech support, India and 3 months in Rogers, Canada.

Anything else we should know before we land in saskatoon ? pls share.

thanks a lot !

Prateet

You have asked the same and it was answered. Later you have started another thread. Again asking here.......Have some concern for people time.

Go to any weather website to know how cold is Saskatchewan
Car will help to move around easily and some times to go to a job place easily .... it depends where you stay.

She may get job in 15 days or 15 weeks or more .... no one can tell certain. If she is ready to take up any kind of job in any place in SK, she may find it quickly.

Gurram,

Read carefully this thread. This was a saskatoon specific question and would appreciate if someone living in that region answers that.

about the second thread that bothers you I posted the same question in the diff forum because it said ASK EXPERTS and I assumed some consultant/ immigration lawyer answers the querry unlike the prev category where any citizen/PR can answer. pls dont take it personally and let me get my answers to my fullest satisfaction. if google and other websites have been so helpful human interaction wd not have been that necessary.

We dont have anybody in Canada and my wife is compl on her own for the last 17 months, we have been duped by an immigration firm and that keeps me worried !
