Can any CD fellow member guide on the revised terms & agreement received by us from Direct Energy
Please care to share your views and discuss best options for us to follow.

I will try to stay with the old agreement where I can change the vendor without any panelty or paying for the salvage equipment.

Due to a huge public outcry, Direct Energy has scrapped this controversial contract.

Yes - From a financial perspective.

I moved into a new house in 2002 and called Enbridge on day 1 and bought the water heater for $850. In the last 10 years I've spent $300 on repairs, mainly due to negligence on my part.

Had I continued the rental, I would have paid approx. $25 + tax / month for the last 10 years. You do the math.

For peace of mind you can buy a maintenance agreement from a 3rd party at a reasonable cost.

This was the 2nd time I've done it. The 1st was in my previous place, I did the same. Infact it was a strong selling point when I sold the place
