HI,
I am a PR of Canada from past 2 years, with all the taxes filed.
I am thinking to work in USA on H-1 visa. Can I do that ?
Will I still be a Permanent Resident of Canada ?
Can I file my taxes in Canada next year ? Even while I am working in USA ?
Please help
Yes you can work on H1 visa in the US , but you will first have to get the H1 papers ( has been limited from last year and I think it will be closing for the year next month ) Now getting the visa stamping is a different issue , a lot of factors are considered before issue of the same , your age ,your status , your economic back ground in Canada and India the company that is sponsoring your H1 ( THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT )
As regards to Tax, sorry this will have to be answered by a tax expert desi

How did you manage the H1?
Ok...now about your questions:
Yes you can work in the USA on H1 even if you are PR of Canada. However, do not forget that in order to maintain your PR status there is a requirement of a max amount time you can stay away from Canada. I do not recall the exact number.
As regards filing taxes, I think if you are working in the US on H1, you will be required to file your returns first with the IRS of the US. Then you will need to also file your returns with CCRA of CAnada and claim "foreign tax credit" for the tax paid to the US.

I did not get my H1-visa yet, but thinking to get one.
so, basically I can work in USA on H-1 visa even while I am PR of canada.
For how long can i stay out of Canada , after completeing 2/5 period of time.
thanks
To get an H1b you need to be a degree holder and must be eligible to get an "H1b ".
If you have stayed 2 years in canada , you can stay out for 3 years before moving back to canada .
If you need to maintain your residency you have to pay taxes on your "world income " to canada . You will get "foreign tax credits" for income tax paid in canada .
If you get a job at a border -town in USA , you could also commute everday to USA to work and still live in canada.
H-1B will open in OCT for this year

We will find a way or we will make one
read that as
"foreign tax credits" for income tax paid in USA

How do they verify that the person is out side of Canada? through Passport ENTRY STAMP? or some thing else....
I heared that people are living out side the Canada but the are in Canada on PAPERS. because they dont put EXIT STAMP on your passport when u leave from Canada and if you have some how managed to SKIP the ENTRY STAMP on your destination's Airport, then they assume that u are in Canada.
I have no idea about this rumor. but i heared it from alot of people.
