Hello, I got my PR card last year, but came back to Africa to fulfill a contractual agreement. Now, since I am about to finish my contract, I am thinking to move permanently to Vancouver by the end of October. I got married early this year, but I heard that I can only apply for her while in Canada. So, the only way I could take her with me is with a TRV visa, and then apply for her when we are in Canada, otherwise she will have to come to Canada about 8 months later while her residency is being processed. Please I need to know how I can change her status to permanent resident while she is in Canada with TRV visa?

You may apply with her being in Canada but that takes 6-8 months as compared to 2.5 months when she is out of Canada at the time of being sponsored .use the search in charcha feature of this site .
