What's the difference between camry hybrid and prius?..does the battery last only 8 years?

I have got a Insurance Quote on prius and its extremely LOW. I am paying $ 235 for my 97 honda accord only liability. While 2012 prius is only $200 for full.

But toyota dealer do not want to reduce the price from 38000 for luxurious model. No cash incentives, no 0% financing ......saying this is their brand model......Uff ye dealers

Love_n_peace: I am in same boat as you are. Just a question to you, Isn't Toyota Camry hybrid better than Prius then if it costs 38000 (as I think Prius loose to Camry big time for shape). I wish Prius was designed as Sedan and not Hacthback.

virkravi2000 : yes, but i am driving Accord since last 5 yrs. I need bit smaller car becas I have another family size 7 seater.

Still confused, do let me know if you find a good deal from dealers. Just saw an Ad on workplace notice board, somebody wants sell Camry 2008 hybrid for 16K. Let me know if you are interested, I'll give you his contact details. I would have bought that if that was a prius or lexus
