If someone has Bachelors and Masters in a non computer area , has > 14 years of experience in IT and wishes to apply for TN , what are the options he has :
Do a course ( degree / diploma ) in an IT related field .
If the applicant does the degree / diploma now , and has had CSA expeience in past as well as current , would such experience / qualification be considered or only post qualificatioin experience is considered ?
If so what are acceptable courses that can be considered for TN ? - diplomas or only degrees and if diplomas what should be the duration of the diploma and from which places / Insitutes/ in Toronto would be / not be accredited . ...
Any budget recommendations for doing such a course which are less on campus time consuming or distance learning and yet recognized ?

There is a CD user who had a M.Com Degree from India and had a good IT Project Mgmt experience to backup got through the TN. If I remember right, his ID was rsk12 or something like that..
Try a search on similar account and see if it helps....
My thought process is also at crossroad now to move either to US (for reasons I have highlighted in the past) or to India or walk back and stay in Canada..

Thanks JRF , yes I recall ... he got rejected for a CSA TN but later went through successfully with a Management Consultant TN which matched his ed qualifications .
The q I am asking is different - if one intends to go for a CSA TN , what minimum qualification should one garner here which enables him to fall with in the TN ed qual for CSA and which are the places in Toronto from where such a qualification can be completed ... preferably long distance or one needing less on campus time ....?

Interesting question. Does a degree in Mathematics and Applied Statistics count for CSA education qualification requirements? Also in transcripts are five courses in Comp Sci including--- Computer Architecture, ProgLang, Data Structures, Computer Networks and Operating Systems.
Not for my requirements, but for somebody I know. I am not betting on US for the long term, heck, even semi-long term.

Though the degree qualifies for 4 years as 3+2 years (Bachelors & Masters ) only one paper in each course is on computers .... Though the NAFTA laws direct degree in any discipline but the Officers would most likely reject non computer related degrees if they do not have substantial courses on computing or systems analysis ...
So the original q - which course/s in Toronto would qualify and what should be their duration to demonstrate that the applicant has academic qualification in computing say :
Diploma from a Colledge / Univ .. in which case how many years ?
Diploma from a private Institute such as Trios College for one year ?
In either case one needs to get his diploma accredited through an accrediting body viz UofT ..... So wondering which of the above qualify ?
Also can some one recommend any budget diplomas from colleges / Univ which require less time on campus or a distance learning programs ?
