My parents is travelling from Mumbai to Toronto on May 10th, British Airways. They dont have written/spoken English language knowledge. They speak Gujarati.
I am trying to get assistance service from the airline/airport authority, but not sure how reliable it would be.
I will really appreciate if someone can offer assistance during their travelling, in terms of checking in, passing through secuity, getting to the boarding gate, boarding, in-flight form filling, change over in at Hethrow (London), immigration at port of entry (Toronto) etc.
Hope to find kind hearted person/s and get some help.
Thanks.
Hi Deeepbluesky
Maybe you could look at requesting a wheelchair for either of your parents. I did that when my parents were coming for my mother and it would take care of all your immigration/check in and security issues right until boarding the aircraft in Mumbai as well as once they land in Toronto.
It does not cost any extra only thing is you need to mention the requirement at the time of booking and most of the stuff is taken care of
Great suggestion incanada.
Once in a wheel chair the support person will help with all the paper work and processing will be fast as well.
