Hi
I am shopping around for a wireless router that will consistently deliver strong signals throughout the house, including the basement. My budget is between $100-$120. I was recommended to go in for any of the following at FS:
D-Link Dual Band Wireless N750 Gigabit Router (DIR-835) - $109
D-Link Xtreme Wireless N600 Gigabit Router (DIR-825) - $99
Netgear RangeMax Dual Band Wireless N Router (WNDR3700-100PAS) - $99
D-Link Amplifi Wireless N300 Whole Home Router 1000 (DIR-645) - $79
Looking for recommendation/feedback from CD's.
Thanks

No matter which one you go with, what I have seen over the period of 6 months to 1 year all of them start to act up...loosing connectivity, resetting on its own, inconsistent speeds all of these start to occur with any of the routers. after trying out most of the above brands, I am now on a router that I bought from costco for around 30 bucks..been over 6 months and still going without issues. Will not have much of heartburn if I have to replace it within next couple of months. All have good long range throughout the house. But I will refrain from buying expensive ones since they loose their perforformance over the period anyway. But if you are still determined to get one of the above, just do ini, mini, miny, moe...
I would add Cisco E3000 dual band to that list. I bought it 6 months ago from Costco for around 120 dollars. The signal strength is always good and its hasn't died on me even once.
It does get very hot at the base, so I just leave it upside down for better heat dissipation.
I totally support what BT has suggested.
I've run through several routers and whenever your ISP tweaks his SW for speed your IR is left behind.
I just gave up and rent a IR MODEM from Rogers and every time there is a change I just exchange the old for the latest.
I generally check out stuff at TIGER DIRECT, CANADA COMPUTERS but the way upgrades are happening and the price drops we cannot keep up with them.
It costs me $ 7 per month rental and after every 12 months typically you usually upgrade or change the current for another citing problems.

Sunny Leone a true Canadian DESI now back in India !.
my 2.5 cents instead of buying branded router , if do not need all those flimsy settings and controls then just buy TP link routers which you can get for around 30 to 40 $ they work just fine.
Try to buy a modem with USB port . This way you can access most of your accessories ( printer , HDD e.t.c) wirelessly . No need to invest in NAS .
Cisco and net gear are known for good routers.
