Folks ,
I am using this router for the past 8 years , but have lately experienced some sporadic connectivity issues.

The Netis one below is currently on sale @ FD for $15/- ...
Netis Wf-2411 Wireless-N 150Mbps 4Pt Router.

Assuming that I have the latest firmware for my current ( D Link) one , does the new one offer any advantages over the older one - my usage is basic 6mbps down , 2 mbps up.

Fido.
Bought a DLink AC1750 868L (b/g/n) on the boxing day for $99. That was a real deal from Futureshop, as it's still selling for about $150. See if you could get your hands on one. It's a pretty solid device. Features include, dual channel, USB connection for external HDD and Printer for wireless connection, DLNA Upnp cababilities, and remote access (on cloud) to your connected HDD, remote access to the router if you want to reboot, disable, or change the wireless access password over the air, guest access.
Signal is pretty solid. I have a two level house and very happy with the signal so far. I have a high speed internet, and watch movies, shows on the internet pretty often. Never had any issues with the Internet from any corner of the house. In addition, I have hooked up my external HDD for wireless access as well as the Magic jack to it.
There are good reviews for this router online as well.
