We are looking to camp next weekend somewhere near like (2 hrs) driving from toronto,

any suggestions, is camping possible in niagara falls or it's better to stay in a hotel

Try Albion Hills - on HWY 50 north. Albion Road becomes Hwy 50 north of Steeles. It is around 30 kms from Steeles.

Call Park Ontario to check in advance as the long weekends always go full.
