I wish to celebrate Ganeshotsav @ home and would like to know where can I buy the Ganesh Murti in toronto and where can I do visarjan / immersion of the murti ?
Are there any sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandals in GTA / Toronto?

One of our friends celebrate it in different way :
They have special Ganesha idol which they place and decorate during festival and perform all the puja and celebration as usual. At the end of the festival, they move the idol to their regular mandir with same respect and love as ganesh visarjan. They have a metal murti - so they immerse it in (filled) bath tub and then clean/wipe it before re-installing it at the mandir.

I personally find this a better way.
