Hi Friends
Recently we got our Canadian Citizenship and planning to apply for Passport.
Pls suggest alternative if we dont get guarantor as required.
Notary public sign delays the passport application.?
Please reply in detail
Thanks
Rahul
You can pay and use a Notary / Lawyer / Comissioner of oaths.
If submitting the application over the counter, they may chastise you for using this service.
When I used this Service in 2006 (for the very first time), they told me that this was the last time that they were allowing it (for me) and that from the next time I should get a Guarantor. Even till today ( I am applying for renewal of cdn. Passport from India) and I am using a paid notary till today.
This will not delay the application but they will check all your references and hence there might be a delay of just 1 or 2 days, if everything is OK with the application.
It is no big deal. Just go ahead.
All the best.
peace

Thanks Kuravan
So u mean its better to find Guarantor always.
Can anyone suggest "Notary Public" in Scarborough Area with reasonable prices
Thanks
Rahul, you do not know anyone with Canadian passport who can sign saying that they know you for at least 2 years? Do you have a family doctor? If you have, try asking him/her.
I think there have been a few threads in the past about Notary Public. Try using search in Charcha.

Why can't you use the simplified passport application? It does not require any guarantor...
