To get into Canada you have provided them all of these. So, take copies of the documents and attach them. (In some libraries they offer FREE attestations of these documents, if you know such a location get TWO copies of each of your certificates and get them all attested by that LAWYER, that way you will have notarized papers)

Your IELTS got you into Canada. So, attach that one too. Include a covering letter with it.

Some continue with their Proficiencies here ESL, TOEFL or a similar one in French to qualify for the regional requirements for Citizenship, so make a note of the same. That is also valid.

If you have an ENGLISH DIPLOMA, that might satisfy their requirements. I have no right to say that it is Valid, as the Citizenship Department has their own guide lines to determine the same. They are the ultimate Authority and their decision is final.

So, be guided by this.

Hi full house, I was hopping that you can enlighten me regrading the language requirements because I sent my iElts with my documents but it was an academic one and I got it all back, so I don't understand why do I need to do another test when I am an RN working since the minute I came to Canada and they still need me to prove my language abilities??? Thanks a lot!

All they need is Academic IELTS. Get every document and certificate Notarized.

Do not loose hope. Here is a link. Please read through it one line at a time. See if you completed your 10 + 2 all of your subjects in ENGLISH? (Or FRENCH)

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/citizenship/language.asp

If so, do you have that certificate. Please get it notarized 2 copies.

You got your RN Degree. Were the subjects taught to you in English Medium? If so get two copies of the same Notarized.

Get your copies of IELTS results Notarized.

Submit one copy of each along with your papers to the Citizenship Department.
Also read through each line as to what other details they want from you and see if it is totally complete prior to re-submission.

They are saying just doing ONE English or French course in your HIGH SCHOOL does not satisfy their requirements. They want ALL of the subjects to have been studied in ENGLISH. ( Or FRENCH)

Also now they have become OBLIGATED to NEW Immigrants to teach them English till they are successful at a school. Those who have immigrated can avail these courses for FREE from the local Educational Institutions. Call and find out where they are held.

This is not for you but for the new comers. Also watch out for the time they will do it for free. It could just be for the first TWO Years only.

Also contact Immigrant Help Centers for information and Notarizing.

I will provide you here under two links and one of them is for the equivalency of the IELTS to that of CLB, that is a local language test level and see if it meets their requirements and the levels called for in each module,If it meets or excels that level, then, they will accept the IELTS test results of yours.

Your test done in Sept. 2011, is acceptable if it meets with the level that is called for. Nevertheless, they will be the ones that has to O.K. it when you apply. So, leave it in their hands.

FH.

Hi CDs,

I got PR through CEC program and am going to apply for Canadian citizenship in couple of month.

The problem am facing is that I gave IELTS 3 yrs back and am not able to get a duplicate transcript from Conestoga. Unfortunately I didn't keep the copy of the original transcript.

Do you guys have any suggestions on what is the best bet for me to get through this in most economical way in 2 months..

Is there a way to get the transcript from IELTS.

IELTS I guess would cost me 300 CAD
CELPIP - 175 CAD
ESL requires 3-4 months.

Thanks!
