Hi Masood Bhai,
My family & myself are ready to fly and a big trouble has happened. One of my children's (Age 18) visa page is torn from the passport and torn in two pieces. We don't know who did it and why but damage is done and I am in a fix what to do. I have our flight in 10 days. Can you advise how to approach this issue. The visa is valid upto July 2004.
Your urgent advice is sought.
Regards,

Repair the damage and fly out but be prepared to face questioning at Heathrow. I am assuming you obtained your visas at London CHC and are flying via London to Canada.
Every page in a passport has the passport number written or engraved on it. That will prove that the page belongs to his/her passport.
The other documents accompanying the visas will prove that she/he was REALLY issued a visa and that you are not trying to commit a forgery.
You will again be asked questions upon landing but by then it'll be procedural until you are officially landed. The visa is to enter Canada.

Thanks for quick reply.
I checked with Pakistani passport office and they are telling the passport to be cancelled and new passport is to be issued.
I am flying through Athens and have Athens visa stamped on passport.
So can go ahead and have new passport attached with the existing one. And then try to land with damaged visa or cantact Canadian Embassy for advice.
Thanks for help

Hi Masood Bhai,
Thanks for the great advice.
I contacted the Embassy in Abu Dhabi, they were surprised how it happened. But once they were convinced that it was an accident, it was easy and they issued new visa in one day.
